Maisha Howze embodies a profound commitment to her community, leveraging her extensive
experience and education in social services to empower and uplift others. Her journey as a
Pittsburgh native and a seasoned professional reflects a deep-seated empathy and awareness of
the challenges faced by marginalized communities, particularly Black women.

Maisha’s dedication extends beyond her professional endeavors; she is also a published author
and a TEDx speaker. Her book, “W.A.S.H. (Withstand All Strife To Heal) Time To Do YOUR
Laundry, offers readers a transformative journey towards healing and wholeness, while her
second book, Hidden Gems: Black Women In The Workplace, sheds light on the unique
struggles faced by Black women in professional settings.

In addition to her literary and speaking engagements, Maisha remains actively involved in
volunteer work and mentoring. As a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, she
contributes to community service initiatives and provides mentorship to young women who may
share similar life experiences.
