Aquene Watkins-Wise is a wife, mother of four, teacher, nutritionist, herbalist, lactation counselor and farmer who uses her combined experiences to address chronic disease prevention and treatment. A Pittsburgh native, she has a strong reputation and passion for community, servant leadership, food justice, equitable food access and mental health. Aquene utilizes her master’s degree in law and public policy to advocate for mental health resources, food sovereignty and the decolonization of farming both here and abroad. Watkins-Wise is an active member of Herbalists without Borders and acts as the Chief Advocating Officer for Royally Fit, a community-based holistic healthcare organization working in both Pennsylvania and Puerto Rico.
