Sharise Nance is a seasoned Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Trauma Specialist, Global Speaker, Award-Winning Author, and Entrepreneur with 25 years of experience transforming lives. She is the co-founder of HandinHand Counseling Services, LLC, a private practice addressing mental health disparities for Black communities and tackling systemic pay inequities in the mental health field. Known as the “Compassion Fatigue Lady” and Compassion Stress Coach, Sharise is a pioneer in preventing Compassion Fatigue and Leadership Burnout in Western Pennsylvania.
Sharise also leads Vitamin C Healing, LLC, where she empowers organizations to foster supportive work cultures that prioritize work-life harmony using trauma-sensitive approaches. She has delivered impactful keynotes and workshops for esteemed organizations like NAMI, University of Pittsburgh, John Hopkins Medical Center, UPMC, and more.
As the creator of the S.W.A.G. Awards, Sharise celebrates the often-overlooked contributions of social workers in Greater Pittsburgh. Outside her professional endeavors, she enjoys running, traveling, reading, and exploring new cuisines with her husband.
